The second NATO-Ukraine Defence Innovators Forum will be held in Vilnius on Monday and Tuesday, the Lithuanian Defence Ministry has announced.
During the event, the Lithuanian and Ukrainian defence ministries are expected to sign a letter of intent on the implementation of a joint defence innovation initiative, Brave Lithuania.
"The war in Ukraine is fundamentally changing our approach to defence, technology and innovation. We see that modern technology, speed and the ability to adapt quickly are becoming as important as traditional military capabilities. Ukraine is currently a leader in battlefield innovation, and it is essential for NATO and its allies to learn these lessons as quickly as possible," Lithuanian Defence Minister Robertas Kaunas said.
The forum will provide NATO and Ukrainian representatives with practical opportunities to collaborate with companies, investors, government officials and military personnel actively involved in deploying technology in Ukraine.
The event will also explore models for strengthening Ukraine’s defence, international support, unmanned systems and air defence solutions, the use of artificial intelligence, and opportunities for investment and joint production between Ukrainian and NATO companies.
More than 400 participants are expected to attend the conference.
