The International Opera Awards on Thursday named Lithuanian soprano Asmik Grigorian the winner of the Female Singer of the Year Award.
“Asmik Grigorian’s extraordinary artistry and commanding performances have captivated audiences worldwide, reaffirming her place as one of opera’s most distinguished voices,” the International Opera Awards said on its Facebook page.
In Lithuania, the soprano has won three Golden Stage Cross awards and has been decorated with the Cross of the Knight of the Order for Merits to Lithuania.
She also received the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts in 2020.
Grigorian was previously named Female Singer of the Year in 2019 and won the Young Female Singer Award in 2016.
The International Opera Awards have been presented since 2013.
