A new survey has ranked Lithuanian pop culture figures according to their perceived influence. The singer Andrius Mamontovas tops the list, followed by the singer Marijonas Mikutavicius and TV producer Arūnas Valinskas.
The survey results were published on Friday by Delfi.lt.
TV programme creator Haroldas Mackevičius and rapper Gabrielius Liaudanskas-Svaras come next on the annual ranking, followed by writer and journalist Andrius Užkalnis, singer Vidas Bareikis, singer Monika Liu, singer Justė Arlauskaitė-Jazzu, and music journalist Ramūnas Zilnys.
The ranking is based on a poll of 925 politicians, businesspeople, civil servants, journalists, and public figures. They were surveyed by the magazine Reitingai for Delfi.lt between May 17 and June 23.
A separate survey of the general public ranked Lithuania’s most influential pop culture figures in the following way: Valinskas, Mikutavičius, Mamontovas, Užkalnis, Arlauskaitė-Jazzu, Liaudanskas-Svaras, TV chef Beata Nicholson, fashion designer Juozas Statkevičius, singer Egidijus Dragūnas, and writer Giedrius Drukteinis.
The public survey of 1,013 people aged 18-75 was carried out on July 18-25 July by the market and public opinion research company Spinter Tyrimai.
Delfi.lt has been naming the most influential people in Lithuania for the past eight years.
