Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia arrived in Lithuania on Monday to meet with the presidential couple and inaugurate a nursing hospital in Vilnius.
The visit includes a bilateral meeting at the Presidential Palace with President Gitanas Nausėda and First Lady Diana Nausėdienė.
The presidential couple and the Swedish royals will also visit the Ukrainian Centre.
Later, Nausėda and the King will travel to a State Border Guard Service (VSAT) unit in Mickūnai.
Meanwhile, the First Lady and the Queen will visit the new Addere Care nursing hospital in Vilnius.
This is not the first visit to Lithuania for the Swedish royal couple. The King first visited in 1992, with the most recent official visit taking place in 2015.
