Lithuania’s representative Lion Ceccah finished 22nd in the Eurovision Song Contest final in Vienna, Austria, on Saturday with the song Solo Quiero Mas, while Bulgaria’s Dara won the competition with Bangaranga.
Lithuania received a total of 22 points, including 12 points awarded by viewers and 10 points by national juries – eight from Finland and two from Italy.
The Lithuanian jury gave its highest score – 12 points – to Bulgaria, 10 points to Poland and eight points to Israel.
Lithuanian viewers gave their strongest support to Bulgaria, Romania and Italy.
Poland finished 12th in the Eurovision final, while Estonia and Latvia failed to qualify for this year's contest.
Lithuania’s representatives at last year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland – the band Katarsis with the song Tavo Akys – finished in 16th place.
Lithuania first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994, when Ovidijus Vyšniauskas finished last with the song "Lopšinė Mylimai", receiving no points.
Lithuania’s best result remains sixth place in the 2006 contest, achieved by LT United with the song We Are the Winners.
