Lion Ceccah secured the ticket to Eurovision after competing against 10 other Lithuanian acts: Rug!le, Walls of Water, Nøra Blu, Noy, Atikin, SHWR, Vilnius Voices, Lolita Zero, Paule and Black Biceps.

Funds collected from viewer voting and allocated to LRT will be used to support the winner’s Eurovision preparations.

Several dozen people staged a protest outside Twinsbet Arena during the final, opposing both Eurovision and Israel’s participation in the contest.

The protest was organised by Rhythms of Resistance Vilnius, LGBTQ+ civic initiative Demonstruokimės, the social centre Luna16 and the Palestine solidarity group ?oppies. Organizers called on LRT to withdraw from the 2026 contest if Israel takes part. They also urged Lithuanian artists to boycott the competition and called on the Culture Ministry to issue a statement condemning what they described as Israel’s “genocide and war crimes”.

At last year’s Eurovision in Basel, Switzerland, Lithuania was represented by the band Katarsis with the song Tavo akys, finishing 16th. The contest was won by Austrian opera singer JJ with Wasted Love.
