Lithuania’s Yukon Group completes liquidation of Russian subsidiary

BNS 2025.09.22 14:19

Yukon Group, a high-tech company based in Lithuania that develops thermal imaging optical devices, has finalised the liquidation of its Russian subsidiary Mezon-A, the group announced Monday.

The company said it suspended Mezon-A’s operations after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and moved to shut the subsidiary down.

“Now, the withdrawal process that began three years ago has been completed from a legal standpoint,” the company said in a statement.

Official records show Mezon-A’s liquidation was registered in May 2023.

However, LRT reported last year that Mezon-A had continued operating in Russia and that its optics were supplied to Russian troops fighting in Ukraine. According to the investigation, the company generated at least 2.3 million euros in sales revenue from Russian customers after the start of the war, with major clients including the CEK group of companies, which carries out state defence contracts.

Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide, registered in Lithuania, said at the time that liquidation was already underway, that Mezon-A no longer employed production workers, and that its products were no longer being manufactured in Russia or Belarus. The company also suggested that some of its devices may have reached Russia through illegal channels.
