Early voting for Sunday’s presidential run-off between President Gitanas Nausėda and Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė got underway on Tuesday.
Nausėda, the incumbent who is running for re-election as an independent candidate, came first in the first round on May 12 with almost 44 percent of the vote.
Šimonytė, the candidate of the ruling conservative Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats, finished second with 20 percent.
The Central Electoral Commission has said early voting polling stations in all 60 municipalities will be open between 07:00 and 20:00 on Tuesday through Thursday.

On Wednesday through Friday, voting will also be organised in hospitals, social care homes, military units, and prisons.
People with disabilities and their caregivers, people who cannot come to their polling stations due to illness, and voters over 70 can register and have members of electoral commissions come and collect their ballots at home on Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, election day, polling stations across Lithuania will open at 07:00 and close at 20:00.
