Winter came to Lithuania a little early this year. After last week’s snowfall, another batch of heavy snow was forecast across Lithuania on Wednesday.
Snowfall is usually not a good sign for drivers, as traffic conditions worsen and huge traffic jams start to form.
According to Vilnius transport administrator, JUDU, 22 traffic jams were recorded in the capital at around 17:00.
Traditionally, the most difficult situation was observed in Geležinio Vilko, Ukmergės, Kareivių, Ozo, Olandų streets, as well as Savanorių, Konstitucijos, and Laisvės avenues.
Snowfall is forecast to continue in Vilnius on Thursday, Friday, and over the weekend.
