Lithuania is looking at options to backfill weapons it plans to send to Ukraine, the country’s Defence Ministry said on Thursday.

Lithuania is looking at options to backfill weapons it plans to send to Ukraine, the country’s Defence Ministry said on Thursday.

Speaking during an donor conference for Ukraine held in Denmark, Lithuania’s Deputy Defence Minister Margiris Abukevičius said the country could send more weapons to Kyiv if NATO agreed to backfill the depleted stocks.

Lithuania has already sent vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, mine clearance SUVs, air defence systems and anti-tank weapons, mortars as well as other military aid to Ukraine.

The ministry also reported that Lithuania would provide five additional specialist courses for the Ukrainian military.
