Lithuania's President-elect Gitanas Nausėda said he will maintain the country's course on Russia, set by his predecessor Dalia Grybauskaitė, as any change would mean "Lithuania betraying its partners in Ukraine". However, there should be better dialogue with neighbouring Belarus, said Nausėda.
"We would like to achieve an open dialogue" with Belarus, says Nauseda.
"Dialogue between neighbours, which are united by a long, historic past. Because of this, we need to be subtle and good neighbours, which are not afraid to express criticism," he adds.
