Lithuania’s real gross domestic product per capita reached 87% of the European Union average in 2024, according to preliminary data from Eurostat released by the State Data Agency.
The figure places Lithuania ahead of Latvia, where GDP per capita stood at 68% of the EU average, Poland at 78%, and slightly above Estonia, which recorded 79%.
Among the EU’s 27 member states, Bulgaria had the lowest GDP volume index, measured in purchasing power standards, at 66% of the EU average in 2024. Luxembourg recorded the highest level at 245%.
Actual individual consumption per capita in Lithuania amounted to 88% of the EU average during the same period. Latvia ranked lowest on this measure at 72%, while Luxembourg topped the list at 146%.
Lithuania’s price level index for GDP stood at 78.3% of the EU average in 2024. Comparable figures were 72.2% in Poland, 79.2% in Latvia and 91.9% in Estonia. Romania recorded the lowest price level index at 60.3%, while Luxembourg posted the highest at 130%.
