The building of the Consulate General of Lithuania in Los Angeles was evacuated due to raging wildfires in the region.
The consulate said its reception has been temporarily suspended but it continues to operate remotely.

“We urge you to follow the information and instructions provided by the official authorities, and if an evacuation is declared in the area where you are, please leave immediately” the consulate wrote on Facebook.
At least five people were killed in the wildfires raging in the Los Angeles region, as firefighters continue to battle fast-spreading flames. At least 1,500 structures were destroyed and more than 100,000 people had to flee their homes, making the wildfires the most destructive in the area.
