On Tuesday, Vilnius Airport closed its runway from 10:00 to 11:00, which resulted in the delay of up to four flights.

At that time, police used drones to film the area where the DHL cargo plane crashed on Monday, flight management company Oro Navigacija said on Tuesday.

The time between 10:00 and 11:00 was chosen as it has the lowest impact on the airport's operations, the company said.

Passengers with flights scheduled for Tuesday morning are urged to contact their airline for information on possible changes to their flights.

One person was killed and three injured when a DHL cargo plane crashed near Vilnius Airport on Monday morning.

The downed Boeing 737-476(SF) plane was owned by the Spanish airline Swiftair and was being used to transport DHL parcels. It was flying from Leipzig, Germany.
