Viktorija Senkutė won Lithuania’s first medal at the Paris Olympic Games after she finished third in the rowing single sculls final on Saturday.
In the final, Senkutė finished in 7 min. 20.85 sec. and was awarded the bronze medal.
The gold went to Karolien Florijn of the Netherlands (7 min. 17.28 sec.) and the silver to Emma Twigg of New Zealand (7 min. 19.14 sec.).
Senkutė was also the first Lithuanian female rower to take part in the Olympic Games finals in a single scull.
