Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry has requested additional information from Eitvydas Bajarūnas, the country’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, and Deividas Matulionis, the ambassador to NATO, after complaints were received about their actions, the Delfi news website reported on Wednesday.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Paulina Levickytė, would not provide more details about the allegations.
Citing unnamed sources, Delfi said the ministry received complaints from other employees about alleged mobbing by Bajarūnas and possible abuse of office.
Meanwhile, Matulionis was accused of actions that may have weakened Lithuania's negotiating position at the NATO summit.
The ministry also said that no official investigations had been opened against these diplomats.
