As part of its Transporter 7 mission, SpaceX has launched two satellites manufactured by Kongsberg NanoAvionics (NanoAvionics) in Lithuania.
The satellites were launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on Saturday and propelled to an altitude of 500 kilometres, NanoAvionics said in a press release on Monday.
The two satellites, DEWASAT 1 and DEWASAT 2, are part of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority's (DEWA) Space-D programme and will be used to monitor Dubai's electricity grids and to service its solar park.
NanoAvionics launched 15 satellites in 2022 and six more this year.
The small satellite mission integrator and bus manufacturer opened a new satellite assembly and space mission centre in Vilnius last December.
The company currently employs 275 people.
