Lithuania’s Defence Ministry and the Israel National Cyber Directorate have signed an agreement providing for bilateral expert consultations and cooperation in strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure.

The agreement, signed on Thursday, also provides for participation in cybersecurity events and conferences, the ministry said in a press release.

“Cyber threats do not respect borders, hence, cooperation with Israel and exchanges of relevant information and expertise will help strengthen cybersecurity of our both countries,” the press release quoted Liudas Ališauskas, director of the National Cyber Security Centre.

While visiting Israel, Ališauskas met with Gaby Portnoy, Director General of the Israel National Cyber Directorate, to discuss recent changes in cybersecurity environment and practical cooperation plans for the immediate future.
