Lithuania has registered 72 new coronavirus infections and one death from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Friday morning.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate currently stands at 83.4 cases per 100,000 people, and the share of positive tests has been 1.1 percent over the past seven days.
Overall, 278,254 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic.
A total of 4,360 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 8,838.
Over the past 24 hours, 9,694 people have received the first shot of the coronavirus vaccine and 18,857 have received the second jab.
As of Friday morning, 1,200,582 people in Lithuania have received at least one shot of the vaccine, or 43 percent of the population, and 813,538 have received two jabs.
