Foreign nationals coming to Lithuania from countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) will be required to self-isolate for two weeks, according to a decree signed by Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga on Friday.
“A 14-day isolation is mandatory for foreign arrivals from outside the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation and the United Kingdom,” the document reads.
Foreign travelers are also required to register with the National Public Health Centre (NVSC) within 24 hours of their arrival in Lithuania.
Moreover, all travelers coming from 63 countries currently on Lithuania's list of coronavirus-affected territories must get tested for Covid-19. This can be done by calling the 1808 coronavirus hotline.

On Wednesday, Veryga said that the companies inviting foreign workers who are subject to the testing and self-isolation requirements must themselves cover the cost.
“We aren't going to fund anything – either testing or isolation. This is up to businesses or people who arrive,” he said.
Foreign drivers employed by “Lithuanian companies engaged in international commercial transportation” must also self-isolate for two weeks or until their departure.
If their stay in Lithuania is shorter than 72 hours, they do not need to get tested.
The stricter rules were brought following an outbreak at a Kaunas transportation company. Nineteen truck drivers employed by Hegelmann Transporte, many of them recent arrivals from Uzbekistan, have been diagnosed with Covid-19 this week.
