Lithuania Travel, the national tourism development agency Lithuania, has released a map listing the most unexpected ice cream flavours offered by restaurants and cafes across the country.
Some of the quirkier flavours of ice cream include smoked fish, black bread, peony, cumin, pine, linden, honey, and beer.
The cold dessert locator is part of the broader set of maps introduced by Lithuania Travel to encourage people to embark on local gastronomic journeys this summer.
Previously, the agency released a map of šaltibarščiai, Lithuania’s beloved cold pink soup.

According to Indrė Trakimaitė-Šeškuvienė, head of marketing at Lithuania Travel, gastronomic tourism creates added value, as food makes up a fifth of all travel expenses.
She added that each gastronomic map allows people to discover previously unknown flavours and their combinations, as well as new catering places in various regions and cities across Lithuania.
