The recent pollution scandal is taking its toll on Grigeo's retail sales, the business daily Verslo Žinios reported on Tuesday.
Maxima supermarket chain said Grigeo product sales at the retail chain dropped by around 18 percent in early 2020 compared with the same period last year.

Spokeswoman Ramunė Baltrušaitienė from Iki, another major supermarket in Lithuania, said Grigeo product sales plunged by 50 percent last month, and figures from Rimi chain showed a decline of around 25 percent in January from December.
Iki and Rimi said they would stop stocking Grigeo products after its cardboard plant was caught in January 2020 allegedly releasing untreated wastewater into the Curonian Lagoon.
