Lithuania, Hungary and Slovakia have the tenth most powerful passports in the world, according to Hanley Passport Index rating.
The rating is based on how many countries the passport holders can visit visa-free. Japan topped the list with 191 countries, followed by Singapore with 190, and Germany and South Korea came third with 189 countries.
Holders of Lithuanian passport can visit 181 countries without bureaucratic hassle. In 2006, Lithuania was ranked 24th.
Same as last year, Afghanistan was placed last (26 countries), upped by Iraq (28 countries), Syria (29 countries), Somalia and Pakistan (32 countries), and Yemen (33 countries).
