Baltic Derby: Lithuania to face Latvia in the EuroBasket Final 16

Lithuania will face the FIBA EuroBasket championship co-hosts Latvia on Saturday after finishing second in the group stages.

The Lithuanian team already played against Latvia during their preparations for the European Championship. After a hard-fought game that went into overtime, Lithuania claimed a 109–105 win.

The Baltic neighbours also faced each other at the 2023 World Cup, in the play-off for fifth place. On that occasion, Latvia inflicted a heavy 98–63 defeat on Lithuania.
