The iconic Kaunas City Hall is being reopened to the public following more than two years of reconstruction.
The renovated building will be presented to the media on Thursday and an opening concert will take place in the evening at the City Hall Square.
From Friday, the building will be open to the public.
The concert on Thursday evening will feature performances by Hansanova, Aistė Smilgevičiūtė and Rokas Radzevičius, Jeronimas Milius with the Ąžuolyno Orchestra, Gabrielė Nausėdaitė and Simas, and Kaunas Champagne Choir.
An exposition will be open to the public on Friday. A special programme, entitled Your Wedding with Kaunas, will run for a week.

The programme presents the history of Kaunas and its neighbourhoods. It has been prepared over 100 historians, museum professionals, architects, urban planners, educationalists, as well as film directors.
After the opening of the City Hall, the museum will host a new educational and event programme. Civil marriage registration will reopen in the building in the near future.
According to the municipality, the reconstruction included installing an elevator in the building, opening up spaces in its basement, modernising the display of the city museum, and building a new exhibition space in the attic.
