Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas is visiting Ukraine on Friday.
He left for Kyiv on Thursday for an unannounced working visit, the Defence Ministry confirmed to BNS.
Anušauskas is scheduled to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, Oleksii Reznikov, to discuss the security situation and the prospects for Kyiv’s counter-offensive, as well as the need for emergency support to Ukraine, Lithuania’s plan for military support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and NATO’s summit in Vilnius in July.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda also made a trip to Kyiv on Wednesday. Lithuania announced during his visit that it was buying two NASAMS launchers for Ukraine.
