The Bernardine Cemetery in Vilnius is already turning into a sea of blue scillas. LRT.lt photographer Justinas Stacevičius captured the sight, which attracts crowds of people to the old cemetery every year.
Scilla siberica is one of the earliest flowers to bloom in spring. If the weather is not too warm and dry, it can bloom for up to two weeks.
The second-oldest cemetery in Vilnius, Bernardine Cemetery is located in Užupis on the right bank of the Vilnia River. Founded in 1810, it has been the eternal resting place of various cultural, social, and scientific figures for over 200 years.
