Marian Sokalski, the chairman of the electoral commission in Vilnius, confirmed to BNS that Polish tourists had affected the results in Lithuania.
"Tourists have a major impact. We see the preferences of tourists, along with those of Polish citizens who live in Lithuania," he said. "Personally, I don't think this is a result that reflects the situation in the whole of Poland."
An exit poll in Poland's presidential election indicated a narrow lead for Duda over Trzaskowski.
