Traffic conditions across Lithuania remained difficult on Friday due to ongoing snowfall and accumulated snow cover, the National Crisis Management Centre said.
In an alert sent to residents’ mobile phones, the centre warned that conditions were especially challenging on regional roads in the eastern and southern parts of the country, including the Vilnius, Trakai, Alytus and Molėtai districts.
Authorities urged people to avoid nonessential travel and, if driving is necessary, to choose a safe speed, the centre said.
