The Lithuanian team claimed victory on Sunday at the European ‘Counter-Strike 2’ esports championship held in Kosovo.
Defying early predictions, Lithuania fought their way to the final, where they defeated Ukraine 2-0.
They won 13-9 on the map ‘Nuke’ and then secured a 16-12 victory in overtime on ‘Anubis’.
This marks the first time in history that Lithuania has won the European ‘Counter-Strike 2’ championship.
The Lithuanian squad featured Aurimas Pipiras, Matas Magila, Gytis Glušauskas, Džiugas Steponavičius, and Emilis Blažys.
Matas Magila was named the tournament’s most valuable player.
