Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda will attend a meeting of the “coalition of the willing” in Paris on Thursday, the president’s office said.
The meeting will focus on support and security guarantees for Ukraine, it said in a press release.
Initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron, the meeting will bring together more than 20 leaders from across Europe and beyond.
Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer are spearheading efforts to build a coalition in support of Ukraine after US President Donald Trump launched direct talks with Russia last month to try to end the three-year war.
Both Starmer and Macron have said they are ready to deploy troops to Ukraine.
Russia has repeatedly said that it will not accept the presence of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory, while Washington has given indications it is not going to provide security guarantees by deploying ground forces.
