Former Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus has been admitted to hospital, the tv3.lt news website reports on Wednesday.
The former president’s spokeswoman Božena Bagonaitienė told the news website that it was a planned hospitalisation, adding that Adamkus would spend several days in hospital.
The former president was also hospitalised in January when he injured himself during a fall at home.
Adamkus, 98, served two terms as the president of Lithuania: 1998–2003 and 2004–2009.
His wife, Alma Adamkienė, passed away in 2023.
