Lithuanian military launches FPV drone course

Lithuania’s Armed Forces have launched the first course for instructors training to use the so-called FPV drones.

Around ten soldiers are taking part in the two-week course to become instructors. They will then return to their respective units and train other soldiers in using FPV (first-person view) drones.

The training is based on Ukraine’s experience in using cheap drones, which cost as little as several hundred euros to assemble, to strike military targets including tanks.

In Lithuania, the focus on drones has increased with the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, where both sides are extensively using various types of drones.
