Lithuania’s authorities tested the country’s alert system at 11:52 on Wednesday. During the drills, sirens sounded throughout the country. People in Lithuania also received text messages on their mobile phones.

Lithuania established the LT72 initiative earlier this year following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, seeking to prepare the population for emergencies.
