Brussels Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, is set to resume direct flights between Vilnius and Brussels, suspended since late October 2022, on March 26, Lietuvos Oro Uostai (Lithuanian Airports, LTOU) said on Wednesday.
“Flights will operate four times a week and will improve possibilities for developing both business and political partnerships, as well as provide an opportunity for other travellers to visit Brussels,” it quoted Brussels Airlines spokeswoman Joelle Neeb in a press release.
This follows the announcement that Austrian Airlines, also part of the Lufthansa Group, will operate direct flights between Vilnius and Vienna from March 26.
From late March, four Lufthansa Group companies will operate direct scheduled flights from Vilnius for the first time in history, LTOU noted.
Lufthansa also flies passengers from Vilnius to Frankfurt, and Swiss operates flights to Zurich.
