Ukrainians will be able to use public transport in Vilnius for free next year after the local council has extended the scheme until 2024.
“The issue is quite obvious. Can we agree on this unanimously? Thank you,” Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius told the members of the Vilnius City Council.
In 2023, people who fled Ukraine because of Russia’s invasion will get 100 percent discounts on the local public transport in Vilnius as per the council’s decision.
