Coronavirus: Lithuania reports 4,140 new cases, infection rate on decline

Lithuania has confirmed 4,140 new coronavirus infections and 15 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, official statistics showed on Monday morning.

The number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals now stands at 1,888, including 104 ICU cases.

Overall, 865,000 people in Lithuania have been infected with the coronavirus at least once since the start of the pandemic, and the death toll has reached 8,267.

The 14-day infection rate has gone down to 3,903.3 per 100,000 people, with the seven-day percentage of positive tests at 51.3 percent.
