Russia has officially informed Lithuania that starting July 1, Lithuanians will be able to receive free e-visas when travelling to Kaliningrad, according to a press release issued by Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The diplomatic note informs that Lithuanians travelling to the Russian Kaliningrad exclave for tourism, business or humanitarian purpose can apply for a free electronic visa.
Online applications to the Russian MFA need to be submitted at least four days before the trip.
The visa is valid for 30 days and allows stays of up to eight days in Kaliningrad. However, it is not valid for travel to other Russian Federation regions.
