A Lithuanian soldier has gone missing while on a combat mission in Ukraine, according to reports from the news portal 15min.
The 25-year-old, who is serving as an assistant grenade launcher in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is said to have lost contact after the area in which he was stationed came under fire from Russian forces.
The incident is reported to have taken place during a combat mission on June 2. There has been no communication with him since.
The soldier is understood to have been serving in Ukraine since February. His family has been informed of his disappearance.
Two Lithuanian nationals, Tadas Tumas and Tomas Valentėlis, have previously been killed while fighting on the Ukrainian front. Gediminas Steponavičius is still missing.
