Latvian national carrier airBaltic said Wednesday it plans to hire up to 200 junior cabin crew members as the airline continues expanding operations across the Baltic region.

The company is offering positions in Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn, with the goal of filling all vacancies by next summer, the airline said in a statement.

According to airBaltic’s website, 30 junior cabin crew positions are available in Vilnius, where the advertised monthly salary ranges from 1,100 to 1,700 euros before taxes. The airline plans to hire 150 people in Riga and 20 in Tallinn.

“We offer fully paid training and a clear career path, both for those just starting out and for those looking for a new professional direction,” Marina Volkova, airBaltic’s head of talent acquisition and development, said in the statement.

The airline currently employs nearly 3,000 people and continues to strengthen teams across various departments.

The airline operates flights to 80 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the Caucasus region. Its fleet includes about 50 Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

It reported 4.2 million euros in net profit for the first nine months of this year, compared with a 48.5-million-euro net loss in the same period last year. Revenue rose 3.3% to 594.3 million euros.

The Latvian state owns 88.37% of airBaltic, while Germany’s Deutsche Lufthansa AG holds 10% and small private shareholders hold the remaining 1.63%.
