Vilnius Airport was temporarily closed Wednesday morning after a drone was spotted in its airspace, the state-owned company Lithuanian Airports (LTOU) said.
Temporary airspace restrictions were imposed over the airport at about 09:50, according to LTOU spokesperson Tadas Vasiliauskas. Full operations were resumed at 10:18.
“Preliminary information indicates that the decision to restrict airspace was made after a drone was detected within the Vilnius Airport area,” Vasiliauskas said.
Initial data suggest that the incident may have affected two flights, the company said.
