Lithuania will auction off lorries and fire engines brought in from Belarus, which were seized due to sanction evasion.
"A prosecutor's decision to sell the 17 milk lorries and 17 fire engines has now been made, and the decisions are final," Prosecutor General Nida Grunskienė told reporters at the Seimas on Monday.
"We hope that someone will buy these vehicles and donate them to Ukraine. I think they are very much needed in Ukraine," Grunskienė said.
The 17 milk lorries were destined for Cuba and the 17 fire engines were to reach Zimbabwe.
The vehicles were detained in Lithuania’s port city of Klaipėda in 2023.
