BNS 2024.11.20 09:32

Lithuania will provide another 10 million euros for urgent infrastructure reconstruction work in Ukraine.

Lithuania will transfer the funds to the World Bank's Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (URTF) in the coming days, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday after completing the necessary legal procedures.

According to the ministry, this will be Lithuania's second contribution to the fund after Lithuania contributed 5 million euros to Ukraine in late 2022.

Since its launch in December 2022, 16 other countries have joined the fund and paid almost 2 billion US dollars (1.89 billion euros) into it.

Since the start of Russia's war against Ukraine in February 2022, Lithuania has contributed a total of over 1.5 billion euros in military, financial and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
