On Monday evening, the Lithuanian men’s 3x3 basketball team defeated Latvia in a match for third place and won bronze medals at the Paris Olympics.
Lithuanians won 21:18 against the team of the neighbouring Baltic country.
Earlier on Monday, the Lithuanian men’s 3x3 basketball team lost 9:20 in the semi-final against the Netherlands. The latter later won gold in the final against France.
In Paris, the Lithuanian men’s 3x3 basketball team of Aurelijus Pukelis, Evaldas Džiaugys, Gintautas Matulis, and Šarūnas Vingelis made the Olympic debut
This is the second bronze medal the Lithuanian athletes have won at the Paris Olympic Games so far. On Saturday, Viktorija Senkutė finished third in the women’s rowing single sculls final.
