Lithuania is sending 50 athletes to the Paris Olympics, with the largest group to represent the country in track and field events.
The delegation of athletes was approved on Thursday by the Executive Committee of the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee (LTOK).
“It was in the French capital exactly one hundred years ago that Lithuania made its Olympic debut, so this year is truly symbolic for us,” LTOK president Daina Gudzinevičiūtė noted in a press release.
The delegation consists of 24 women and 26 men, and 31 members of the team will make their Olympic debut. The largest group of 11 athletes will compete in track and field events.

In addition to the athletes, the delegation will include 49 coaches and support staff, along with a medical team of 11.
The Paris Olympic Games will run from July 26 to August 11.
