The heads of the Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian customs authorities have agreed on uniform controls in the implementation of EU sanctions against Russia and Belarus.
The agreement follows the signing of the respective declaration by the Baltic prime ministers on December 20, the Lithuanian Customs Department said.
The Baltic customs authorities agreed to tighten controls on sanctioned goods exported to or transiting through Russia and Belarus to third countries. This includes measures such as requiring the manufacturer's declaration.
