Aegean Airlines is launching a direct flight from Vilnius Airport to Athens, the capital of Greece, as of April 19, Lithuanian Airports reports.
The flights will be operated twice a week with Airbus A320 aircraft.
According to Tomas Zitikis, head of Flight Development at Lithuanian Airports, the flight will be a convenient way for Lithuanian travellers to reach Greece and its islands regularly.
Aegean Airlines plans to operate flights on this route until October.

Aegean Airlines will become the 10th legacy airline to operate at Vilnius Airport. The airline is the national carrier of Greece, which offered a total of 180 different destinations in 49 countries last year.
