Lithuania has three new billionaires, according to the list of the richest people in the country published by Top magazine. These are Tomas Okmanas and Eimantas Sabaliauskas, co-founders of Tesonet, as well as Darius Mockus, the president of MG Grupė.

The assets of Okmanas and Sabaliauskas are valued at 1.05 billion euros each, and those of Mockus are worth 1 billion euros, according to the magazine.

The cybersecurity company Tesonet, among other products, owns the VPN provider Nord Security, which was valued at 3 billion dollars and attracted an investment of 100 million dollars from US private equity fund Warburg Pincus in 2023.

Mockus, meanwhile, is the sole shareholder of MG Grupė, one of Lithuania’s biggest manufacturing, trading, real estate, and media groups.

Gediminas Žiemelis, chairman of the board of Avia Solutions Group, Mindaugas Raila, chairman of the board of an investment firm Willgrow, and Nerijus Numa, founder of Vilniaus Prekyba, were also among Lithuania’s billionaires in 2023.

All of their wealth has surpassed the 2-billion-euro mark for the first time this year. According to the Top magazine, Žiemelis’ assets are worth 2.45 billion euros, Raila’s wealth is valued at 2.24 billion euros, and that of Numa at 2 billion euros.

According to its website, Avia Solutions Group is the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider. Vilniaus Prekyba, meanwhile, is the largest Lithuanian group of private companies.
