After a hot Tuesday, temperatures are expected to stay above 30C at least until Friday, Tadas Kantautas of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service tells LRT RADIO.
The weather will mostly stay dry, with short showers and thunderstorms starting only from Thursday.
On Wednesday, short showers and possible thunderstorms are expected in some places. Temperatures will rise very rapidly during the day throughout the country. In some places, temperatures are expected to hit 30–35C, with 27–29C in the western part of the country.
On Thursday, short showers and thunderstorms are expected in some places. Temperatures will drop to 14–19C at night, staying above 20C in the eastern part of the country. During the day, temperatures are expected to rise to 27–32 in the east and 24–26C in the west of the country.
Rain is more likely on Friday. Brief showers and thunderstorms are expected at night in places and during the day in most of the country. Temperatures at night will stay around 14–19C, rising to 26–31C during the day.
