The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday, condemning clashes in Kosovo between Serb protesters demanding the removal of recently elected ethnic Albanian mayors and NATO-led peacekeepers in Kosovo (KFOR).
“We strongly condemn attacks against @NATO_KFOR troops in northern #Kosovo. We call for immediate restraint and stop of violence,” the ministry tweeted.
“Dialogue is the only way to resolve the tensions and ensure peace and stability for the future progress in the region.”
